The ‘original Ultra Challenge’ – you can take it on and fundraise for New Hope. Over 2,000 adventurers will take on the Capital to Coast route and test their grit & determination over the weekend.
Fundraise for New Hope and complete an Ultra Challenge on Bank Holiday weekend by joining the Summer London Walk.
Trek 25km across the Capital with views of London skyline, whilst fundraising for New Hope.
Join 3000 adventures and complete the Thames Path Walk. Fundraise for New Hope and complete and Ultra Challenge.
Take on either a spirited 10 km or an energetic 10 mile looped route walk through the heart of London as darkness falls and the Moon rises – and fundraise for New Hope.
Join us for a fabulous, festive fundraising concert on Saturday 7th December at St Mary’s Parish Church, Watford!
The Watford Phoenix Choir will be performing a wonderful selection of songs at this Christmas concert with all money raised being donated to New Hope.
We are delighted to be one of the charities supported by the Chorleywood Christmas Festival and Lantern Parade this year.
This year's Christmas appeal is called 'Home for Christmas?' and will once again be match-funded! We are aiming for £60,000! Please watch out for communications later on this year and put 3rd December (appeal launch day) in your diaries!

A great event to walk off the Christmas & New Year celebrations, and maybe kick start a new fitness regime! There are Full Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K walking options + a NEW family fun 5K on Sunday (accessible). All options start & finish at The Oval Cricket Ground, and take in highlights of the Thames, its historic bridges, and many of the Capital’s landmarks. Sign up as a team, or an individual and families are welcome – there’s rest stops with snacks, a special medal, and hot food at the finish!

This event is organised by Ultra Challenge and not by New Hope, but is a fantastic opportunity to raise money for us and have a great time!

Please come and join us at our annual celebration service, Hope and a future, which is happening at 7.30pm Wednesday 24th April at St Luke’s Church, Langley Way, Watford.
This is a wonderful opportunity to thank God for all that He has done in and through New Hope over the last year, and also to pray for His continued hand on our work.
Doors will open at 7pm. Refreshments will be served at the end of the service.

With 50km & 25km options – it’s the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself this spring and get in shape. Join 1,500 others and walk, jog, or run from Windsor Racecourse, heading out on looped routes through the Great Park with fantastic views of the Castle, Runnymede, the Thames Path, and some wonderful countryside. You’ll get full support all the way, a few post Easter surprises, a celebration finish at base camp, and a BBQ meal.

This end of season 50 km looped route covers some of the best of the Chilterns countryside, with historic trails, rolling hills, nature reserves, and fantastic views. Starting & finishing at our basecamp in Henley, there’s a Saturday night celebration BBQ & entertainment, with extensive on-site camping & parking options. It’s a route with real variety and some wonderful scenery – and it’s all easily accessible from London. You’ll get full support & hospitality all the way, and with 25 km options and a 10 K also available – there’s a Chiltern Challenge for everyone!
Join over 2000 walkers and trek across the Capital taking in unrivalled views of the skyline, and historic landmarks. Setting out from the Putney Bridge start we had East towards the City, zig-zagging over the array of 16 historic bridges – each with its own fascinating story – and a mid point rest stop at The Oval Cricket Ground for some snacks & drinks. 25km later, it’s a party style finish line celebration in Southwark Park past the final crossing – the majestic Tower Bridge.
Join us and others at this fantastic Charity Golf Event on Friday 9th September. Hosted by CommuniTee Golf at West Herts Golf Club, teams will be enjoying some golfing challenges (with prizes to be won!) and raising money for New Hope and other local charities!
This summer, we mark 25 years since the dedication of the Haven by the then bishop of St Albans. We are celebrating this occasion with an open day on 8th July, called Hope at the Haven.
Over 2,000 adventurers will take on the Capital to Coast route and test their grit over the whole weekend. Starting from Richmond, there are 100 km of trails ahead, 60% of it off-road, with some wonderful countryside before the final climb over the South Downs and the Brighton coastline comes in to view. Run, walk or jog - you’ll get full support and hospitality all the way. With Half & Quarter distance options available – plus a ‘Virtual Version’ – there’s a Challenge here for all!

Throughout the summer of 2020 we are running a 30 for 30 initiative to celebrate 30 years of New Hope! We invite individuals, families and community groups to undertake a fundraising challenge using the number 30 as a spring board for ideas!
How many kilometres can you run in 30 minutes? How about after running 3 times a week for 30 days?
Could you give up caffeine for 30 days?
Can you bake 30 cupcakes for 30 neighbours in 30 minutes? Washing up included!

A perfect day out for families and garden-lovers alike, the open day features storytelling in the yurt, percussion workshops, poetry readings and children’s craft activities. Ornamental plants, vegetable seedlings and herbs are available for a donation to support New Hope’s work with those who are homeless in Watford. Light refreshments will also be available.
The garden is at 64 Rickmansworth Road, Watford, WD18 7JA and is accessed through a gate on the driveway of 62 Rickmansworth Road. There is NO parking on the driveway of 62 Rickmansworth Road.
