Lions donate sleeping bags!

The Lions Club District 105A recently donated a total of £1,000 worth of sleeping bags to homelessness charities throughout their district, and one of them was us!

The district, which consists of 83 clubs located in London, Middlesex, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire, raised £1,000 then bought new sleeping bags with the funds. Several cabin crew bags were also donated by British Airways to the Lions to distribute to charities in need of them.

We received 12 sleeping bags and over 20 cabin crew bags. These will go to our Sanctuary, where Watford’s only emergency accommodations are located, and Haven Support Centre, which offers food, clean clothes, washing facilities, advice and support to those who are homeless or vulnerably-housed locally.

All of us at New Hope are so grateful to the Lions Club District 105A for doing so much to help homelessness charities throughout their district, and for choosing us as one of their beneficiaries. Thanks, Lions, you’re golden!
