Christmas Meal Volunteers
Hours: 10am-3pm
Date: Monday 25th December, Tuesday 26th December and Monday 1st January
Location: New Hope Emergency Accommodation, West Watford
Every Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, New Hope cooks festive meals for our service users.
We are looking for volunteers to help prepare these meals at our Emergency Accommodation service.
The role will involve helping to prepare, cook, and serve a traditional roast dinner, setting up and laying tables, and packing away and cleaning up afterwards.
We are looking for volunteers on Christmas Day from 12.30 p.m. to 3 p.m., on Boxing Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and New Year’s Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. shifts can be split into two shorter shifts, if preferred.
This is a fantastic opportunity to offer support and companionship during a time that can be particularly challenging for those without stable housing.

Volunteers must be aged 18 years or over, be able to commit to a regular schedule of volunteering and be able to follow instructions and work within a set of guidelines The ability to build a good rapport with our service users is also important. Relevant training for the role will be provided.
